The mission of New London Trees is to restore New London’s tree population through community planting and care, education, and advocacy.
Join us in our first crowdfunding campaign!
New London Trees is working to raise $5,000 to plant trees in the spring of 2021. Our funding deadline is February 15, 2021. All donations made by then will be doubled by Sustainable CT’s Community Match Fund, which is an innovative funding resource for public, community-led sustainability projects.
We have identified three sites for our spring 2021 planting project. New London Trees has chosen a diversity of native trees (trees that naturally grow in our region) for their ecological benefits as well as their beauty. The selections are also well adapted to their specific urban conditions.

We partner with the New London Public Works Department, Connecticut College Arboretum, residents, organizations, and businesses to implement a program that will sustainably manage our urban forests.
New London Trees is a grassroots organization. We meet the second Tuesday of each month at 5 pm, at the Public Library of New London, 63 Huntington Street (except for holidays). Note: Because of the COVID-19 Pandemic, meetings are held via Zoom until further notice. Please email NewLondonTrees@gmail.com for information about how to join the meeting.
All are welcome to attend our meetings.
